Concerts in the Park 2007

Groton -The band 9Teen brings its Brass Kickin’ Rock ‘n Soul sound
to Washington Park Friday, July 6.
The “Concerts in the Park 2007” series is held in Washington Park in the
City of Groton. The Friday night concerts will continue through July and
August. All concerts start at 6:30 p.m.
The concert series is co sponsored and co-produced by Groton
Utilities and the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department.
The band 9Teen performs all over New England, playing everything from
classic rock to funk to R&B to Steely Dan to Chicago to Earth, Wind and
Fire, and Stevie Wonder.
Our next concert is scheduled for Friday, July 20th and will feature The
Blackburns, a classic rock band. The complete “Concerts in the Park 2007”

The concerts are designed to be especially appealing to families for a fun,
inexpensive night out. Spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic supper,
since
all the concerts will are held during the early evening hours. The City of
Groton Little League also provides concession service. The concert site
also has sufficient room on the basketball courts for dancing.
