Powwow Festival at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum, July 11 & 12
Share the traditions of these colorful Native gatherings that showcase tribal cultures and strengthen ties between friends old and new. The smell of fry bread and Indian tacos fills the air, while the rhythm of the drum and the jingle of the dance bells call everyone to join the powwow trail. Handmade Native creations will be for sale, and there will be a special Wampum-making demonstration
