Mystic Seaport’s Summer Solstice Sunset Party, June 15
The theme of the evening will reflect Mystic Seaport’s mission to educate people on the history of America and the sea dating back to Native Americans, as well as current history of new immigrants coming from other shores. The evening begins with a Tex-Mex barbeque under the open-air Boat Shed from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. After-dinner entertainment begins with music from Grammy-nominated flutist, Joseph FireCrow. He will perform in full Native American regalia from the bow of the Charles W. Morgan from 8 pm to 9:15 pm. From 9:15 pm to 10:45 pm, visitors can enjoy the music of Santa Mamba—a regular entertainer at Mohegan Sun. The six-piece band offers a mixture of world-beat styles, Latin, rock, jazz and funk and will play on the Village Green.
