MYSTIC COUNTRY© FIRST STATE TOURISM DISTRICT TO LAUNCH PODCASTS ON TRAVEL TO THE REGION
The Eastern Regional Tourism District has launched a travel podcast that can be found at www.mysticcountrypodcast.com. The podcast features news and stories about the people, places and things that encompass the 42 unique towns and villages that make up this amazing place called Mystic Country. The very first is an overview of the region with stories that focus on Mystic Seaport, the CT Defenders, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.
The Mystic Country podcast can be found by logging onto the website mentioned above, it is also posted to iTunes and submitted to several search engines and podcast directories on the web including Podcast.net and Yahoo Podcasts and GetAPodcast.com. A new episode will be posted on a monthly basis, each talking about the area’s attractions, what’s new in the region and upcoming events.
Podcasts have become so popular, so fast, that the editors of the New Oxford American Dictionary declared "podcasting" the 2005 Word of the Year, defining the term as "a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar program, made available on the Internet for downloading to a personal audio player."
The District’s podcasts are being produced by Jerry Jodice who is an award-winning creative professional with broad experience in advertising, graphic design, web design, interactive media, marketing and public relations. He will be writing the scripts for each episode as well as acting as the voice talent and conducting all the phone interviews with tourism professionals in the region. Log on today and take a listen!
